Dearest Heather, after a loooooong delay, I finally got to sit down with my Gatherings White Issue. It’s a rainy, stormy night in Texas, and I curled up in bed feeling very pregnant (I’m sure you can relate!) and weary from a long visit from my mother in law. But when I looked through these pages, even though I couldn’t physically touch them, I felt warmed and invigorated. I loved the articles and the images… especially the insights about creative living with young children. There is something fresh and temperate and healing about white, and you brought it straight to my soul! I adore you and I miss you so much. I rejoice with you that this year will bring the birth of your son and so many new and profound experiences that I still can’t put words to. Let’s schedule a phone date soon. You are an inspiration to me, as I’m sure you are to many others!! Love you.
